Training for Learning Co commenced in July 1995 with the belief that enjoyable training must offer strong personal development growth and satisfaction to be valuable to the individual and our client organisations.
Our company is affectionately referred to as TLC, with our training team ensuring that much Tender-Loving-Care is indeed observed in course facilitation.
An Corporate Training Organisation, TLC offers Australian industry recognised courses to provide skills to business clients and individuals.
TLC is renowned for Trainer Training. TLC Principal, Catherine Logue herself since 1990 has delivered training and facilitation technique courses to businesses, education facilities and government departments. Then in 1995 with the introduction of the first vocational qualification known as the Certificate in Workplace Training Category 2, she tailored the course to extend to her individual clients.
In 2008 TLC moved the focus to general management training across the broad spectrum of business operations, ensuring supervisors, managers and business owners can undertake recognised Business Management training, to build a range of recognised skills to better run their operations.
Retail, Professional Development and Business Administration qualifications also form part TLC's training courses.
Principal Catherine Logue is a member of the Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD), and ensures her team are also members of this professional training indusrty body. For the past decade, Catherine has held a seat on the National Board of AITD, and undertook the prestigious responsibility of National President for four years.
Catherine's passion for training
has been the driving force behind the special programs such as
• Innovation in Training
• Innovative in Assessment
• Innovation in Advanced Facilitation
• Training Games to boost Involvement.
These new topics have been so well received, a suite of other specialty workshops have been developed, plus a range of training manuals, resources, inspirational DVDs and posters to empower TLC clients to tailor their own internal training days.
Another division, the Career Centre, was started in 1997 to assist graduates and individuals with development of their personal portfolios.
Today, TLC now also works with individuals, business clients and government departments; developing resumes, applications and providing interview coaching to complete the cycle of career development.
TLC has recently published a second edition of the Career Series booklets, which were first released in 1998 to assist school leavers with the development of their personal profile folders.
